Q: What is an important factor to know when purchasing an enclosed trailer?

A: It’s important to note the distance between cross members, the spacing and thickness of the metal is important, as well as the kind of metal used in the frame.

Q: What is the difference between a single axle and double axle enclosed trailers and which do I need?

A: Both single and tandem axle enclosed trailers have their own advantages. First, single axle enclosed trailers work well for turning around in a tight area. Likewise, it is easier to pick the tongue of the trailer up on a single axle versus a double axle. Tandem axle enclosed trailers can haul more and are easier on a vehicle because it’s more stabilized and does not put as much tongue weight on the towing vehicle.  With this in mind, if you are hauling anything heavier than 1200 lbs, a double axle trailer would be best.

Q: What size ball do I need when picking up my enclosed trailer?

A: This is a commonly asked question that we get regularly. When picking up your trailer, a 2” ball will be needed for single axles, and 2 5/16” ball will be required for tandem axles.
